There’s nothing quite like trying a new beer for the very first time. The anticipation, the first sniff, and the glorious moment it hits your lips. Here at Icicle, we love that feeling and love to experiment, so we naturally brew up a lot of new beers. Our brewing operation is divided into two facilities, a 5-barrel system downstairs at our taproom in downtown Leavenworth, and a 25-barrel system at our production facility less than a mile away at the edge of town.

We call our smaller brewhouse our pilot system because it is the place where we innovate new recipes. Our head brewers Collin and Troy let their creativity fly and we all win as a result, with new taproom-exclusive beers being released nearly every week. A few days a week you can witness these diligent brewers making magic if you venture downstairs at the taproom. These special small-batch brews are served in the taproom only, unless we absolutely fall in love with a recipe and decide to brew a big batch to go into broader distribution.

So, if you’re like us and jump at the chance to try new tasty brews, keep your eyes and ears tuned into taproom news on Thursdays, when we typically release new beers. The quickest way to stay in the know is to check out our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (@IcicleBrewingCompany for Facebook and @iciclebrewing for Instagram/Twitter). Sometimes our Thursday releases will be production batches that will be available across the region, but even more commonly, you’ll get the chance to try something that you can’t find anywhere else.
